GRACI Research Grant Guidelines

2023 GRACI Research Grant Guidelines for Applicants and Grant Application

The GRACI foundation is pleased to announce that applications are open for the 2023 annual grant round. We welcome applications from researchers residing in New Zealand (NZ) and affiliated to a NZ research organisation or healthcare provider, and who are involved in gynaecological cancer research in.
Grants will be available to any researcher residing in NZ and affiliated to a NZ research organisation or healthcare provider. Grants will be awarded to support New Zealand research in gynaecological cancer in accordance with the documented goals of the GRACI foundation.

  • To improve outcomes for New Zealand women with gynaecological cancer
  • To support infrastructure for clinical research into the treatment or prevention of gynaecological
    cancer in New Zealand women.
  • To support the research of New Zealand researchers in the field of gynaecological cancer.
  • To promote the conduct of new research in the field of gynaecological cancer.

In 2023 there are three grants available:
  1. Any gynaecological cancer research grant - $35,000.00 Grant Ref: GRACI2301
  2. Ovarian cancer research Grant - $30,000.00 – in conjunction with COOC - Grant Ref: COOC/GRACI2302
  3. Low-grade serous ovarian cancer research Grant - $30,000.00 – in conjunction with COOC - Grant Ref:COOC/GRACI2203
Cure our Ovarian Cancer NZ (COOC) is dedicated to improving outcomes for women with ovarian cancer through advocacy, support, awareness, and research. COOC acknowledge the support of GRACI in facilitating and administrating the above three grants.

Awarding of grants:
  • Applicants are able to apply for any of the grants available.
  • All applications will be reviewed, assessed and scored by independent reviewers selected by GRACI.
  • The final decision regarding the awarding of the Grants will lie with the Board of GRACI.

Guidelines for Applications
Submission of grant applications:
  • Timeline:
    • ​Open: Monday 1st May 2023 
    • Close: Monday 19th June 2023 at 1700
  • Grants will be awarded and announced publicly on GRACI website by: Monday 13th October 2023
  • Applications will be submitted electronically using the '2023 GRACI Research Grant Application form’ available:
    on the GRACI website from Monday 1st May 2023
  • Completed Grant applications should be emailed to GRACI: [email protected]
